At Kiddie Academy of Carmel Westfield, we are driven to prepare children for life. Through our Life Essentials® curriculum, we provide a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
We are currently seeking a Summer Camp Floater Teacher to support our classrooms and lead fun, safe, and engaging activities during our summer program.
Position Summary
As a Summer Camp Floater Teacher, you will support multiple classrooms and assist in executing summer camp activities. This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, flexible, and passionate about working with children in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lead and assistant teachers across multiple age groups
- Assist with planning and implementing summer camp activities, including indoor and outdoor play
- Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment at all times
- Maintain active supervision of children in accordance with Indiana child care licensing regulations
- Help manage transitions, meals, and daily routines
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Step into classrooms as needed to maintain required staff-to-child ratios
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or camp setting preferred
- Must meet all Indiana Child Care Licensing requirements, including:
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Eligibility to work in a licensed childcare facility
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Energetic, dependable, and adaptable

Schedule Details
- Monday through Friday
- Hours scheduled within our operating hours (typically between 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
