Teachers (Lead and Assistant)

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and exploration.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
• Incorporate child welfare practices by adhering to mandated reporting laws and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
• Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Support children with special needs through individualized instruction and early intervention strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and incident documentation in compliance with licensing requirements.
• Stay current on best practices in early childhood education by participating in ongoing training related to childhood development, behavior management, first aid/CPR certification, and other relevant areas.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool teaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and childhood welfare standards.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
• Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing professional development encouraged.
• Experience working within private schools or similar educational environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners including those requiring additional support or accommodations.
