The Valuation Research Assistant supports workflow management for a team of commercial real estate appraisers. The Valuation Research Assistant will be responsible for property data collection and confirmation; system record and information maintenance; as well as some Client communications. The Valuation Research Assistant will also be responsible for the maintenance of various information libraries and the compilation/preparation of data pertaining to ongoing quarterly and annual commercial real estate market activity and general market area information for use within the various appraisals.

Job Summary
The Valuation Research Assistant supports workflow management for a team of commercial real estate appraisers. The Valuation Research Assistant will be responsible for property data collection and confirmation; system record and information maintenance; as well as some Client communications. The Valuation Research Assistant will also be responsible for the maintenance of various information libraries and the compilation/preparation of data pertaining to ongoing quarterly and annual commercial real estate market activity and general market area information for use within the various appraisals.
Essential Functions
- Complete area descriptions, zoning, and various other real estate related materials for reports
- Obtain market data and perform data analysis ensuring accuracy and up to date information
- Conduct various research and/or research projects
- Maintain library of analyzed data, descriptions and other documents ensuring accuracy an up to date information
- Investigate and gather data required for estimating value, including, but not limited to, tax and assessment data, market statistics (vacancy, absorption, and other supply/demand factors), comparable data (land sales, lease and sale comparable)
- Conduct interviews with market participants
- Assist team members on various projects as required
- Assist in managing workflow for group by developing and/or supporting communications and processes
- Assist processing engagements into system (initial property and scope of work identification) and in record keeping (job list) data accurately and on time
- Perform other duties or projects as requested or required

- 2 years related experience
- This is a standard office environment with standard office noise like talking, office equipment, etc.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is often active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The employee must sometimes lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds. The employee must frequently sit and use a computer for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities are required to do this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
