Position Summary
The Director of Global Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing the company’s global supply chain strategy to ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and resilience across sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. This leader will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations supporting multiple manufacturing sites and international markets, driving strategic initiatives that align with business goals and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy that optimizes cost, quality, delivery, and sustainability across all regions.
- Global Operations Management:
- Oversee international sourcing, supplier relationships, logistics, and inventory management for manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.
- Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with global suppliers, negotiating contracts and driving supplier performance improvement.
- Process Optimization:
- Implement best-in-class systems, tools, and processes to improve visibility, traceability, and agility across the supply chain.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate global supply chain risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and logistical challenges.
- Sustainability & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, ethical sourcing policies, and environmental standards.
- Leadership & Development:
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global supply chain team across multiple regions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
- 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in managing complex, global supply networks.
- Deep understanding of ERP/MRP (JDE preferred) systems, demand planning tools, and global logistics.
- Experience in Supply Chain in India and UK is a plus
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial acumen.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM, PMP) are a plus.
