About This Role:
Support the sourcing team with analytics needs (spend, performance, make v. buy, market trends, etc.). Partners with sourcing team to understand analytical needs, understand their areas of responsibilities and deliver thoughtful and comprehensive analysis that will drive sourcing decisions. Partner with Sourcing leadership to monitor and report on KPIs.
- Owns and develops elements of commodity and strategic sourcing strategy.
- Develops and implements supply chain strategies and develops networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.
- Evaluates and selects suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of the supply.
- Establishes negotiation strategy for award contracts, specifying spending limits and qualified sources of supply.
- Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops sourcing strategies.
- Directs analysis of suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing:
- Partner with Sourcing Managers to support global sourcing strategies.
- Support onboarding activities.
- Lead ad hoc sourcing projects (direct and indirect).
Cost Savings and Value Creation:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through sourcing analytics by reviewing spend cube, supplier performance metrics, etc. and make recommendations for implementation.
- Drive initiatives to improve supply chain sustainability and resilience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with key internal stakeholders, including product development, marketing, finance, and operations, to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of sourcing initiatives.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to monitor spend, supplier performance, and market conditions.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on sourcing performance and cost savings.
- Publish dashboard on regular cadence to support operation discussion.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2 years of strategic sourcing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of signaling technologies, electronics, or safety systems is a strong plus.
- Effective strategic thinking skills to manage difficult and complex problems.
- Strong communication skills that can flex to fit any platform, media, character count or audience.
- Analytical skills that help evaluate data to help us stay ahead.
- People skills that drive engagement and advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this role is $67,150.00 – $79,000.00. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
