Job Summary
Kid Star Daycare is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. This role involves overseeing classroom activities, developing lesson plans, and ensuring that each child's educational needs are met. The Lead Teacher will also collaborate with parents and staff to promote the overall development of students.
Our hope is to implement Language into learning starting with Spanish. *Spanish speaking is preferred.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards, focusing on Math, Literacy education, and other essential subjects.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages learning, exploration, and creativity.
- Manage classroom activities effectively while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Supervise assistant teachers and provide guidance on classroom management techniques.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress in various areas, including preschool readiness and toddler care skills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking preferred
- Proven experience in teaching preschool or daycare settings.
- Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and child development principles.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
- Passion for educating young children and fostering their love for learning.
