What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at Kid's Day Preschool and Daycare?
PRIMARY FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILITY
A toddler assistant teacher who can foster a safe, Christian, loving environment for their students to learn and grow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teacher will actively supervise their classroom and be familiar with licensing policies and procedures such as, but not limited to: child to teacher ratios, handwashing, food handling, diaper changing, and cleaning.
Aid co-teachers in taking the children potty in the toilet as the children potty train.
Be able to communicate effectively and kindly to parents, utilizing professional grammar and language with them at all times.
Maintain a professional appearance to greet parents at the drop off door.
Comfortable teaching a Christian curriculum and singing a small prayer before meals.
Assist the children with their creative art projects.
Follow a daily schedule.
Take the children outside, weather permitting.
Manage a classroom size of about 10 students with a co-teacher.
Comfortably be alone with the children per ratio.
Ability to maintain a kind and patient persona in a loud classroom environment.
Maintain an amicable work relationship with co-teachers.
Complete any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Ability to physically complete all janitorial closing tasks for the classroom such as, but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing toys, and taking out trash.
Full Time: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous daycare experience, especially as a teacher with 2 year-olds, strongly preferred.
College degree or credit in early childhood development is preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
