Position Overview
Kid City USA is seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Director to support daily operations while creating an exceptional experience for both families and staff. The Assistant Director plays a key role in parent engagement, staff support, and center culture, helping drive enrollment, retention, and overall program quality.

Parent Engagement & Customer Experience
- Serve as a warm, welcoming presence for all families, creating a strong first impression
- Build meaningful relationships with parents through daily communication and follow-ups
- Conduct tours for prospective families with an “assume the enrollment” mindset
- Address parent questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
- Support enrollment efforts, including tours, follow-ups, and retention strategies
- Help create events and opportunities that increase parent involvement and satisfaction
Staff Support & Culture
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment where teachers feel valued and supported
- Provide daily encouragement, recognition, and coaching to staff
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- Help ensure proper classroom coverage and smooth daily operations
- Promote strong communication between leadership and teaching staff
- Step into classrooms as needed to support teachers and maintain ratios
Operations & Leadership
- Support the Director in overseeing daily center operations
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and maintaining appropriate ratios
- Monitor classroom quality, curriculum implementation, and child safety
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment
- Use systems (such as Procare or CRM tools) to track attendance, enrollment, and communication
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, preschool, or daycare
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for working with children, families, and educators
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, energetic, and solution-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of Nevada childcare licensing requirements is a plus
