About the Role
We are looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher to support our lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with kids and wants to make a positive impact on early childhood development.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
- Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate interactions
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and basic hygiene (as needed)
- Follow all licensing and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with children (preferred but not required)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check clearance (required)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, nurturing, and reliable personality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous daycare or preschool experience
- Bilingual is a plus
