Kid Angles is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Assistant Teacher to join our program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and eager to support children's growth through meaningful engagement and teamwork.
Duties
- Understand and adhere to the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct
- Actively supervise and engage with children to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
- Support the Lead Teacher in classroom activities, observations, documentation, and curriculum implementation.
- Assist with serving meals, cleaning up, and maintaining a tidy and sanitized classroom.
- Perform housekeeping tasks related to classroom upkeep.
- Participate fully in singing, dancing, reading, and hands-on play.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with families, coworkers, children, and administration.
- Demonstrate physical capability to sit on the floor, get up easily, and move around the classroom.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a professional setting.
- Commitment to completing 30 hours of annual professional development training.
Pre-employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of the fingerprints/background check process.
- Physical exam clearance
- Pass a 5-panel drug screen
