Position: Program Lead – Kicks to Learn
Job Summary
Kicks to Learn is seeking dedicated and energetic Program Leads to support students’ academic, behavioral, and physical development in a positive and inclusive environment. Under the guidance of the Site Lead, Program Leads will deliver engaging activities, implement instructional plans, and foster a safe, supportive atmosphere where all students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group academic support, reinforcing lessons and assisting with homework completion.
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the Site Lead, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming classroom environment, including materials distribution and activity setup.
- Lead engaging small group activities, read aloud to students, and adapt materials to meet varying learning needs.
- Communicate regularly with the Site Lead and school staff regarding student progress, needs, and concerns.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students during all activities.
- Promote inclusivity and encourage participation from all students, regardless of background or ability.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create programs aligned with Kicks to Learn’s mission.
- Mentor and guide students in setting and achieving personal goals.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
- Assist in planning and executing events, camps, and workshops that enhance skills in sports, arts, academics, and more.
Qualifications & Experience
- Background in special education, early childhood education, or related fields preferred.
- Experience in babysitting, tutoring, childcare, or youth programs highly valued.
- Sports coaching or classroom management experience is a plus.
- Understanding of child development principles to support holistic growth.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Experience in camp or recreational program settings is an advantage.
