Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer with a flatbed configuration, including manual transmission vehicles, across assigned routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or other equipment, ensuring secure placement on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers as needed.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules.
• Secure loads properly on flatbeds, tanker trucks, or roll-off trucks to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, trailer, and cargo to identify any safety concerns or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, route adjustments, or safety issues related to hazardous materials or dangerous goods transport.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery.
• Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and safe handling procedures for dangerous goods.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations; forklift certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and logistics cargo handling procedures.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards.
• Excellent driving skills with an emphasis on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,700.00 per week
