Sous Chef - B-Liner at Beach Club

We are hiring an experienced and passionate Sous Chef at B-Liner at the Beach Club, part of the Kiawah Island Club.

B-Liner is a vibrant coastal dining destination offering an elevated yet approachable culinary experience with a strong emphasis on fresh, local ingredients and thoughtful execution. Located at the Beach Club, the restaurant provides an exceptional setting for members and guests to enjoy memorable meals in a relaxed, polished atmosphere.

The perfect candidate will be responsible for the following, among other duties:

• Project a passion for cuisine, quality, and hospitality that inspires the team, always leading by example
• Assist the Executive Chef and Chef team in overseeing the daily culinary operations of B-Liner
• Participate actively in daily food production and service, ensuring all dishes are prepared and executed to the highest standards
• Lead and support kitchen staff during service, maintaining consistency, efficiency, organization, and a positive working environment
• Assist with menu execution and contribute ideas for seasonal dishes, daily specials, and culinary events
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, presentation, and quality of all food items
• Work closely with the Chef team to ensure proper mise en place and station readiness for each service
• Provide training, supervision, and ongoing development for cooks and other kitchen team members
• Promote a positive, professional, fun, and team-oriented kitchen culture
• Assist with ordering, receiving, product organization, inventory, and proper product utilization
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, food safety, and kitchen organization
• Work closely with the Front of House team to promote strong communication and ensure an exceptional member and guest experience
• Assist with private events, member functions, holidays, and other special culinary experiences as needed
• Step into any kitchen position necessary to support the team and ensure successful service
• Assist the Executive Chef with kitchen administration, scheduling, organization, and other operational responsibilities as needed
• Help foster a culture of continuous learning, culinary excellence, and professional growth throughout the kitchen team

Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to support special events and changing business needs.
