Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of Kia vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
- Perform maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid replacements
- Conduct advanced repairs on powertrain components, electrical systems, and ADAS technology
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines to complete repairs accurately
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify mechanical or electrical problems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Perform vehicle body repairs as needed and ensure all work adheres to dealership standards
- Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify the quality of work performed
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed or completed
- Stay current with automotive industry trends, manufacturer updates, and new repair techniques
Experience
- Proven dealership experience as an automotive technician or mechanic preferred
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs
- Experience working with GM vehicles is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of ADAS systems, schematics reading, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance highly desirable
- Familiarity with vehicle alignment procedures and auto body repair techniques beneficial
- Hands-on experience with powertrain repairs and automotive electrical systems required
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
