Kia Service Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kia Service Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Kia vehicles, ensuring they meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations. Candidates with knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain, ADAS, and diesel engine repair will thrive in this position. Prior experience working with GM vehicles, auto body repair, welding, and the use of schematics and hand tools is highly desirable. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of Kia vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
• Perform maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and fluid replacements
• Conduct advanced repairs on powertrain components, electrical systems, and ADAS technology
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines to complete repairs accurately
• Inspect vehicles thoroughly to identify mechanical or electrical problems and recommend appropriate solutions
• Perform vehicle body repairs as needed and ensure all work adheres to dealership standards
• Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify the quality of work performed
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed or completed
• Stay current with automotive industry trends, manufacturer updates, and new repair techniques

Experience

• Proven dealership experience as an automotive technician or mechanic preferred
• Strong background in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs
• Experience working with GM vehicles is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of ADAS systems, schematics reading, diesel engine repair, and vehicle maintenance highly desirable
• Familiarity with vehicle alignment procedures and auto body repair techniques beneficial
• Hands-on experience with powertrain repairs and automotive electrical systems required
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
