Position Overview
Sales Consultants are responsible for presenting and selling new and pre-owned vehicles while providing an exceptional customer experience. This role includes understanding vehicle features, building long-term customer relationships, and driving sales performance to maximize dealership profitability.
Essential Responsibilities

Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and strong work ethic.

Be self-motivated, driven, and eager to succeed.

Stay informed on all dealership products and competitive offerings.

Build and sustain customer relationships before and after the sale.

Utilize dealership CRM tools to datamine and generate new leads.

Conduct a high volume of daily customer communications (phone, text, email, video).

Accurately log and maintain customer information.

Conduct product presentations and test drives.

Consistently meet or exceed sales goals and survey expectations.

Demonstrate strong skills in appointment setting, objection handling, negotiation, closing, and general sales techniques.

Set personal performance goals aligned with dealership standards and create action plans to achieve them.

Maintain a valid driver’s license.

Follow all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Maintain reliable attendance and work required schedules, including extended hours for special events.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to deliver vehicles to customers, which may involve occasional travel.

Assist customers with transferring items between vehicles (bending, lifting, reaching).

Stand and walk for extended periods and move throughout the lot.

Work in varying outdoor weather conditions.

Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft applications required).

Solid customer service skills with basic math and finance understanding.

Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
