Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented team leader to join our Fabrication team in Manitowoc. This role plays a key part in supporting production operations by ensuring technicians have the materials and resources needed to maintain workflow, while also tracking downtime and quality metrics. This position also serves as a backup to the Production Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Coordinator with daily operations, job setup, and technician support
- Monitor production flow and ensure technicians have necessary materials
- Coordinate packaging and skidding of fabricated parts
- Troubleshoot fabrication equipment (presses, saws)
- Maintain production display boards and document downtime/quality issues
- Step in to assist with production tasks as needed
- Suggest and support productivity and efficiency improvements
- Promote and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Train new employees on PPE and safety protocols
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior leadership or production support experience preferred
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email
- Familiarity with BPCS system or willingness to learn
- Solid understanding of fabrication processes and product knowledge
