Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, food industry knowledge, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tables in a fast-paced environment. Experience with POS systems and a passion for hospitality are essential to providing guests with memorable service in a fine dining or casual restaurant setting.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as OpenTable, or MenuSifu
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met according to health regulations
- Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during peak hours
- Demonstrated sales skills with an aptitude for upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Basic math skills for order entry, bill calculation, and cash handling accuracy
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, host/host roles, or food industry positions is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed
