Summary Of Position

Operates mixing machines to blend ingredients into compounds for processing, loads ingredients into mixers, and weights and measures ingredients. There will be heavy lifting, frequent standing, and moving throughout the manufacturing process.

Minimum Requirements: This position requires BLENDING/MIXING/BATCH WORK and related equipment/machine experience. Experience with production output flow, programing, setups, teardown, cleanup, pre-prep and scheduling a PLUS. If you are a hands-on, mechanically incline, trouble shooting, thinking out of the box production driven individual, then we are looking for you.

What will you do?

• Properly complete blend/mixing sheet documentation.
• Input new recipes, start, and stop the blending process and verify new recipes in Liquefier System.
• Follow established blend procedure to include verifying formula at the control panel, comparing recipe and blending for correct quantities, performing RO water conductivity and TDS tests, mixing ingredients per instructions, gathering, and recording required information, sampling, and testing, and adding ingredients to premix tank.
• Stage and verify ingredients for blending to include acquiring batch documentation, verifying batch documentation with the production schedule, identifying discrepancies in batch documentation, assembling ingredients using pick sheets and First Expired/First Out (FEFO), weighing ingredients, performing blend calculations including metric conversions, properly handling partial ingredients, verifying ingredients, and recording data.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Prime, start, and input offset in Ratio Blender to include properly completing documentation, preparing ratio blender, using the correct wash, and performing pH testing.
• Complete proper cleaning and shutdown protocols.
• Understand batch hold times and know how to plan when batching should occur.
• Complete procedures include performing pre-production sanitation, loading recipes, and operating skid.
• Troubleshoot issues with the Liquefier system.
• Strong ability to work unsupervised.
• Understand and follow the ingredient hold process.
• Troubleshoot Blender issues.
• Maintains time and production records and reports.
• Maintains quality standards and conduct quality checks.
• Conducts basic troubleshooting on the assigned equipment and performs minor equipment adjustments and changeovers.
• Follow Safety /SOP & GMP guidelines and follow all spill policies and procedures.
• Complies with PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follows all plant policies and procedures.
• Safely operate a forklift.

Required Qualifications

· Must be eligible to work in the United States

· High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

• 3-4 years related experience.
• Production knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for effective manufacturing preferred.
• Must be able to verbally communicate, read and write in English.
• Basic mathematics skills required.
• Must be able to take direction and work unsupervised.
• Basic computer skills a plus
• Forklift certification a plus

· Must be in good physical condition. Essential job function requires the routine lifting and manipulation of dry ice blocks ranging in weight from 5 - 40 pounds each.

• Work may require frequent standing, stooping, crouching, or bending.
• This is a manufacturing/warehouse facility and may not be cool or heated.
