PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Associate principal serves as a member of the administrative team to develop and implement the
total school program.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the daily management of designated campus employees
Oversees designated educators in the school, providing periodic observations and evaluations that are
timely and constructive and completed based on the timetables set by the school district
Offers additional training and guidance as necessary based on evaluations of professional staff
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning the School Program - Assists to provide direction to staff in implementing goals and objectives
and interact and meets with staff to assist in their development.
Implementing School Program - Assists in the development and establishing of the school goals and
objectives. Interacts and meets with staff to assists in their development.
Evaluation and Remediation of the School Program- Evaluates staff to initiate needed improvements,
provides professional development opportunities and growth. Assists in evaluation of the school
program.
Coordinating and Communicating the School Formal Structure- Communicates and carries out
established policies, delegates and accepts responsibility for completion of tasks and communicates
program goals, objectives and policies.
Facilitates Organizational Efficiency- Promotes and maintains open communications, positive student
attitudes, respects dignity, worth of staff, students and complies with established lines of control. Build
a school culture based on accountability and respect. Ensure a safe environment for all stakeholders.
Facility School Partnership- Works in conjunction with the treatment center to improve student
achievement. Alternate contact for communication between the treatment center and the school.
Manages school information system to include PEIMS, state testing coordinator, ensures formative and
summative assessments are conducted
Ensures student graduation plans are current and students are in appropriate classes.
Lead the campus by setting the example.

Requirements
Principals Certification or currently in a Principals Certification program
3 years of experience in teaching
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
Travel around the district and community as necessary
Salary : $72,000 - $77,000
