Accounts Payable Accountant

KHS&S, one of the largest specialty wall and ceiling contractors in the U.S., is seeking a detailed-orientated Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintaining accounts payable records, and supporting our accounting operations. You’ll play a key part in upholding our organization’s financial integrity and commitment to excellence.

The primary duties and responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries promptly.
• Reconcile monthly statements.
• Execute weekly and off-cycle check runs.
• Maintain vendor records, process credit applications, and file annual 1099s.
• File multi-state sales and use tax returns.
• Participate in weekly cash flow and operations meetings.
• Support other accounting-related tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma required; some college coursework in Accounting or Business preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounts payable or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction accounting software a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
