Payroll Specialist

KHR Solutions is seeking a PART TIME detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on Monday - Wednesday weekly, supporting the payroll processing needs of the business.

The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing on multiple HRIS platforms and a strong understanding how payroll interacts with accounting as well as standard pay styles and how they are impacted by compliance requirements. Accuracy is essential and KHR serves this function for multiple organizations. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task with accuracy and understand many different sets of payroll rules simultaneously.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for organizations accurately and timely
• Verify 401k, workmans' compensation, and any other payroll-tied after process is completed when time permits
• Support HRIS changes related to compensation for the assigned clients (ex. tax, dd)
• Answer calls related to employee and client needs surrounding payroll processing..
• Back-up team as needed for incoming call support
• Work directly with supervising managers to verify intent and supporting documentation for all changes related to payroll and employee compensation
• Work directly with payroll providers, in concert with the payroll manager, as an administrator to verify each system has the needed earning and deduction codes for departmental success
• Analyze payroll data and resolve any discrepancies
• Support GL needs with accounting partners
• Utilize HRIS to maintain payroll records and generate reports
• Work directly with the payroll manager to support 401k, workmans compensation, I-9 and any other audit requested as they relate to work in the HRIS system
• Attend all assigned meetings
• Maintain 100% confidentiality with client and internal records
• Act professionally and courteously with all client contacts, representing the organization in a way that promotes continued relationships and referrals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• 4 years proven experience processing payroll for an organization with greater than 100 employees.
• Proven knowledge of payroll guidelines and requirements to support state and federal regulations.

Required Skills:

• Payroll processing utilizing multilple systems accurately
• Ability to analyze and interpret standard financial data related to payroll processing
• Proficient in 10-key typing for data entry accuracy
• Skilled with Excel spreadsheets as needed to support sales draws, audit needs, census submittals and any other report request

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
