Position Overview
The attorney will work directly with clients and handle litigation matters from pre-litigation through trial preparation. Compensation is based on a billable-hours structure.
Responsibilities
- Manage civil litigation cases from inception through resolution
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances
- Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and updates
- Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations
- Maintain accurate and timely billing entries
- Work collaboratively with staff and attorneys to move cases efficiently
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience preferred
- Strong legal writing and courtroom skills
- Experience handling discovery, motions, and client communications
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple active cases
- Strong work ethic and professionalism
