The Automotive Service Advisor plays a crucial role in managing the vehicle service process by serving as the primary point of contact between customers and the service team. Working within a medium-sized team of 6 to 10 members, the advisor handles a diverse range of vehicles including passenger cars, light trucks, heavy trucks, and other mixed vehicle types. This role involves end-to-end customer interaction, from initial consultation through to follow-up, ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience supported by general automotive service software.
Responsibilities
- Consult with customers to understand their vehicle service needs
- Schedule appointments and coordinate service activities
- Report findings from vehicle inspections to customers
- Prepare accurate service estimates
- Manage work orders to ensure timely completion
- Maintain effective communication with customers throughout the service lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in automotive service advising
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven problem-solving and time management abilities
- Proficiency in computer literacy and automotive service software
