What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paid Canvasser position at Khan for State Senate?
Khan for State Senate is working to elect Maryam Khan, teacher, mother and champion for public education, to State Senate in Connecticut’s 2nd State Senate District.
We are seeking paid canvassers to help us talk to neighbors about the election and about Maryam’s candidacy. The job will primarily focus on door to door direct voter outreach, but may also include occasional phone banking, administrative work or other miscellaneous tasks to help the campaign win.
We are seeking committed individuals who are willing to work hard not just for the sake of the job, but to win a better future for the working families of Hartford, Bloomfield and Windsor. We will be looking for applicants with strong interpersonal communication skills.
Pay will be $25 an hour. Individual transportation preferred but not required. Canvassing experience preferred but not required.
Interested applicants should be available for a minimum of 16 hours a week, and will report directly to both the campaign director and the campaign’s field director. Training and development support provided.
This is a temporary job with an intended end date of August 12th 2026.
