Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and account reconciliation.
Duties
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Process payroll accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to manage financial records efficiently.
- Assist in governmental accounting tasks as required.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing relevant financial data.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions for audit purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is essential.
- Experience with payroll processing and financial report writing is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
