Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
- Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and dishware safely according to kitchen health and safety standards
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment responsibly and correctly
- Support sanitation efforts by cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas regularly
- Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and kitchen health and safety standards
- Experience with dishwashing, cleaning, and basic kitchen operations
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, including banquet or catering backgrounds
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively
