Job Title: Commercial Roofing Superintendent (Traveling – North Carolina Focus)

Location: Based in North Carolina with frequent travel across NC and surrounding Southeastern states

We are seeking a highly driven, self-sufficient Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee roofing projects across North Carolina and surrounding markets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an autonomous environment, can operate independently without daily oversight, and takes full ownership of project execution from start to finish.

This position requires frequent travel, strong decision-making skills in the field, and the ability to manage jobs solo while maintaining company standards for quality, safety, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all on-site roofing operations from mobilization through closeout
• Execute commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, metal, and coatings
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and company quality standards
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, materials, and equipment without direct supervision
• Perform daily jobsite inspections and proactively address issues

• Operate independently across multiple job sites and markets
• Make real-time decisions regarding production, sequencing, and problem-solving
• Maintain accountability for job performance without constant oversight
• Manage time effectively across travel, job execution, and reporting

• Complete daily reports with photos, progress updates, and notes
• Ensure proper installation techniques, especially seams, tie-ins, and flashing details
• Identify and correct deficiencies immediately
• Document conditions for change orders and unforeseen issues

• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards on all job sites
• Conduct site-specific safety setups (fall protection, access, signage)
• Perform regular safety checks and maintain compliance documentation

• Serve as the primary field point of contact for project managers and clients
• Provide consistent updates on job status, timelines, and challenges
• Coordinate with internal teams for scheduling, materials, and closeout

Travel Requirements:

• Frequent travel required (primarily within North Carolina, with regional travel as needed)
• Ability to work out of town for extended periods
• Must be comfortable working independently in new markets

Qualifications:

Required

• 3 years experience as a commercial roofing superintendent or equivalent role
• Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, coatings)
• Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish
• High level of self-motivation and personal accountability
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability in the field
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel

Preferred

• Experience working across multiple states or markets
• Familiarity with manufacturer specifications (Carlisle, GAF, JM, etc.)
• Experience with digital reporting tools and documentation systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
