What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flexo Press Assistant DAY SHIFT position at KG MARKETING AND BAG?
Press Assistant
Previous experience in a print environment doing viscosity checks, anilox cleaning and plate stripping is preferred
Highly trainable and interested to learn about plate mounting and printing
Basic math skills in measurements (length and weight) and calculations
Near perfect vision and good color discrimination skills as well
Must be able to do lifting of maximum of 50 lbs, cleaning and moving ink cans during the shift
Responsibilities include:
- Flexo printing with water and solvent inks
- Slitting
- Ensuring that materials and tools conform to specification
- Anilox cleaning and general housekeeping especially in between job runs
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- Must have very good spatial relations skills and a quick learner
- With very near perfect vision and good color discrimination ability
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Motivated to continuously improve
- Lift in excess of 60 lbs regularly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
