Embedded Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Manager in Utah County, UT. Summary: The client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead development efforts. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on contributions in architecting and implementing software solutions and communications. The ideal candidate thrives in a player/coach role and is passionate about guiding high-performing engineering teams. Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and performance management
• Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and release
• Architect, review, and contribute to mission-critical codebases
• Ensure robust integration with ROS (Robot Operating System), and other middleware frameworks
• Champion best practices in code quality, CI/CD, software testing, and documentation
• Coordinate with product leaders and program managers to plan roadmaps, allocate resources, and manage technical risks
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• 5 years of professional software development experience (C )
• 2 years leading or managing a software engineering team (5 developers)
• Expertise in embedded or real-time systems development
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
