Software QA Tester

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software QA Tester in McLean, VA.

Duties:
* Software QA Tester will review user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specs to create detailed test cases
* Execute functional, regression, end to end, and exploratory tests across our web and mobile applications
* Document bugs clearly and concisely using tools like Jira
* As a Software QA Tester, you will participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning
* Work closely with engineers to validate fixes and ensure issues are fully resolved
* Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and field deployment validation when needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field
* 3 years of experience in software testing
* Strong understanding of test planning, test case writing, and bug reporting
* Familiarity with basic database queries to validate data integrity
* Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence
* Comfortable working in fast-paced Agile teams
* Detail-oriented mindset and strong communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
