RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Grand Rapids, MI that is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Manufacturing Startup & Expansion Projects.
Summary:
This role will support startup, expansion, and capital projects within a manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with Maintenance and Engineering teams to coordinate equipment installations, manage contractors, and drive projects that support operational growth and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead equipment installation and expansion projects from planning through execution
* Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal project resources
* Track project schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
* Provide regular project updates and progress reports to stakeholders
* Drive accountability and ensure timely execution of project plans
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and capital expenditure (CapEx) projects
* Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and roadblocks
* Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience managing large scale capital equipment installation projects in a manufacturing environment
* Proven experience supporting startup, plant expansion, or operational growth initiatives
* Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
* Results-driven with a focus on execution and meeting deadlines
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
