What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Platform Governance Consultant position at Kforce Technology Staffing?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in New Orleans, LA that is seeking a Power Platform Governance Consultant with hands-on experience implementing governance for Power Automate and Power Apps within an enterprise Microsoft 365 tenant. This is not a Power Apps developer role and not a data or AI strategy role. The focus is governance, administration, environment strategy, technical enforcement, and long-term sustainability. The objective is to enable citizen developers to be productive within clearly defined guardrails, while ensuring IT retains ownership, visibility, and continuity.
Responsibilities:
* Define and enforce what business users can and cannot do in Power Automate and Power Apps
* Translate governance policies into tenant-level and environment-level technical controls
* Design and implement Power Platform environments using a structured environment strategy
* Configure security roles, access, and administrative ownership for operational continuity
* Implement and configure the Power Platform CoE Starter Kit
* Provide visibility into usage, connector activity, ownership, and governance reporting
Implement automated enforcement (not manual approval processes), including:
* Restrictions on external connectivity and outbound communication
* Ensure violations are technically prevented, not policy-only
* Define and document a standardized automation lifecycle from intake through retirement
* Ensure automations are transferable and not dependent on individual ownership
* Establish formal exception and review processes for new connectors or capabilities
* Support a federated power-user model with lightweight enablement
REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
