RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Lead Test Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO to support a large telecommunications client as they expand their software quality and regression testing capabilities for customer-facing applications.
Summary:
This role will lead a small team of offshore QA engineers while driving the evolution from primarily manual testing toward a scalable automated testing strategy. This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys improving quality processes, mentoring others, and building sustainable test automation in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end testing efforts for customer-facing software releases, including production validation and regression testing
* Develop and execute comprehensive manual and automated test strategies for web-based applications
* Design, maintain, and optimize regression test suites based on production defects, risk analysis, and new feature development
* Mentor offshore QA engineers in automation best practices and test case development
* Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and UAT teams to improve software quality across the SDLC
* Analyze production issues and defect trends to continuously improve regression coverage
* Drive test planning, execution, reporting, and defect management across multiple concurrent initiatives
* Help establish QA best practices and improve testing processes as the team continues to mature
* Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve testing efficiency where appropriate
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7 years of software quality assurance and testing experience
* Previous experience leading QA teams or serving as a Test Lead
* Experience developing and maintaining automated regression test suites
* Hands-on experience testing web-based applications and front-end functionality
* Experience mentoring or coaching QA engineers
* Strong background in both manual and automated testing
* Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar
* Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
* Experience working in enterprise-scale environments
* Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, Kiro, GitHub Copilot, or similar
* Telecommunications or highly regulated industry experience is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
