RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Business/Systems Analyst in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Maryland Heights, MO.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Partnership & Requirements Elicitation:
* Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and desired outcomes
* Lead requirements elicitation sessions and ask effective discovery questions to uncover detailed requirements
* Participate in requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder reviews
* Serve as the primary point of contact between business users and engineering/development teams
Requirements & Documentation:
* Translate business needs into clear, well-written user stories and acceptance criteria
* Translate business requirements into formal technical requirement deliverables (e.g., functional requirements, system requirements)
* Document functional and system requirements
* Ensure requirements are complete, clear, testable, and aligned with business objectives
* Maintain requirements and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Process & Systems Analysis:
* Review, analyze, and evaluate existing information technology systems and operations
* Create and document business process flows and workflows
* Analyze current-state processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
* Understand how applications, systems, and processes interact and impact one another
* Support solution design by recommending system improvements and process enhancements
* Participate in solution discussions and provide recommendations based on business and process analysis
SDLC Collaboration & Delivery:
* Work closely with developers, QA, Product Owners, and other technology teams throughout the SDLC
* Clarify requirements and answer questions throughout development and testing
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5-10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a related role
* Strong hands-on experience as a Business Systems Analyst, including analyzing IT systems and business processes
* Experience in telecommunications, cable, or field operations domains
* Experience creating process flows/workflow diagrams
* Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
* Experience working directly with engineering or development teams
* Experience with issue tracking and requirements documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
* Familiarity with SDLC and system implementation methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
* Strong understanding of the SDLC and how requirements move from discovery through delivery
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong communication and facilitation skills
* Excellent requirements elicitation and stakeholder interview skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable working closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams
* Demonstrated ability to write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria
* Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into system requirements
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
* Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in Agile environments
* Experience supporting applications with multiple system integrations
* Experience supporting system enhancements or operational improvements
* Experience identifying process gaps and recommending improvements
* Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar requirements/process documentation tools
* Familiarity with Kiro, Claude, and other similar AI tools to support business analysis work
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
