Typescript Architect

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a Typescript Architect. Summary: We are seeking a seasoned TypeScript Architect to lead the design and development of backend systems and RESTful APIs. This role will focus heavily on architecting scalable, high-performance backend solutions using TypeScript, with strong integration into AWS services. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in backend architecture, cloud design, and API strategy, along with a forward-thinking approach to engineering best practices. Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop backend services and REST APIs using TypeScript
• Define and implement API standards, best practices, and versioning strategies
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design scalable, maintainable backend systems
• Lead design reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure quality standards across the codebase
• Design and implement AWS-based solutions for reliability, scalability, and performance
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design, deployment strategies, and infrastructure automation
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root cause analysis efforts
  
  

Requirements

• 8 years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript for backend development (Node.js environment)
• Proven experience designing and building REST APIs at scale
• Solid understanding of API architecture principles, including security, versioning, and documentation
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, etc.)
• Experience in system design, architectural decision-making, and technical leadership
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems design
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
