The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership taxation, financial products, and investment companies, with a focus on both compliance and process improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review partnership taxable income, book and tax allocations, tax estimates, Schedule K-1s, and tax returns
- Complete required filings, including Forms 926, 8621, 8858, 8865, 8886, 5471, W-8, and others as needed
- Conduct ASC 740 Uncertain Tax Position analyses and prepare monthly NRA Withholding Statements
- Support the month-end close process and produce reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Analyze and identify book-to-tax differences, including wash sales, PFICs, bond bifurcation, and accretion/amortization of discount/premium
- Document tax and accounting policies and procedures
- Assess and enhance reporting processes and systems, collaborating with internal technical resources
- Participate in operational improvements, ad hoc analysis, and special projects as required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MST preferred or in progress
- 3-5 years of financial services experience, with exposure to the taxation of financial products and hedge/mutual funds or investment companies
- Knowledge of fixed income securities, derivatives, and complex financial instruments
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; Familiarity with Total Return (SS\&C GlobeOp), Brightline, K1x, Alteryx, and/or Workday is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
