Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer in Hollywood, FL responsible for coordinating and overseeing the planning and design of transportation infrastructure projects. Summary: This role applies established civil engineering principles to roadway design and construction while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations. The engineer evaluates existing roadway conditions, recommends improvements to enhance traffic flow and safety, and supports project execution from design through construction. This position develops project cost estimates, supports construction and repair scheduling, and collaborates with internal engineering teams to assign priorities and coordinate workloads. The role may provide technical guidance and oversight to other transportation engineering staff and work cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Active State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation engineering or related civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of transportation and civil engineering principles, standards, and best practices
- Experience with roadway design and infrastructure improvement projects
- Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK, and/or stormwater management design tools preferred
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, water and sewer modeling software, and ESRI (GIS) applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Valid Florida driver's license
