Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Carlsbad, CA. Responsibilities:
- Senior Staff Accountant will manage accounts receivable, including billing, reconciliations, and reporting
- Track and account for fixed assets, including capitalization and CIP activity
- Review and administer employee expense activity using internal systems
- Prepare journal entries related to accruals, payroll impacts, and recurring transactions
- Maintain lease schedules and perform related reconciliations
- Support monthly and quarterly close processes
- As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will perform balance sheet reconciliations and assist with financial reporting
- Prepare audit support and collaborate with external auditors
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls
- Partner with teams across finance, operations, and HR
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
- 3-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience working in environments with broad, hands-on responsibilities
- Exposure to manufacturing, product-based, software, or regulated industries
- Experience with financial statements and audit support
- Understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Experience with ERP systems and expense management tools
- Manufacturing or public company experience preferred
