Reinsurance Analyst - Ceded Treaty Focus - Hybrid

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a major insurance company in New York City, is adding a Reinsurance Analyst to their team. Responsible for:

• Oversight and execution of successful treaty placements
• Reviewing existing treaty structures and recommend alternative structures
• Collaborating closely with the Global Reinsurance Officer, Global Commercial Casualty Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, and Operations teams to review reinsurance requirements
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with reinsurance brokers and markets specializing in commercial casualty risks
• Supporting contract wording review, timely claims handling, and market intelligence gathering
• Work in partnership with Global Commercial Casualty Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, and Claims to collect and analyze data, risk profiles, loss history, and submission information
• Collaborate with Legal and Global commercial casualty underwriting teams to assist with drafting and reviewing of treaty language
• Evaluating treaty reinsurance quotations and participating in negotiations specific to commercial casualty risks and exposures
• Maintaining reinsurance documentation which catalogs historical treaty placements, terms, limits, and loss activity
• Market awareness to remain current in developments in the commercial casualty (re)insurance market
  
  

Requirements

• 5-10 years of Commercial Casualty Reinsurance experience which aligns with the above
• Strong communcation and negotiation skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external partners and customers
• Deep quantitative and financial analysis skills
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
