PL/SQL Developer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a PL/SQL Developer in Maryland Heights, MO. Summary: The PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting robust database solutions within an Oracle environment. This role requires deep expertise in PL/SQL development, automation of Oracle jobs, and creation of job chains to support critical business processes. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
• Automate and manage Oracle jobs, including scheduling, monitoring, and error handling
• Create and maintain Oracle job chains to support end-to-end process automation
• Optimize SQL and PL/SQL performance for large datasets and high-throughput systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to database jobs and batch processing
• Partner with application teams, data teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and change management processes
• Support deployments, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance in Oracle environments
  
  

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL development
• Solid experience working within Oracle database environments
• Proven experience automating jobs using Oracle scheduling tools
• Experience creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Oracle job chains
• Strong SQL skills with a focus on performance and scalability
• Experience supporting batch processing and automated workflows
• The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in complex, high-volume data environments
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Exposure to cloud-based data or database migrations
• Experience with CI/CD or automated deployment processes
• Familiarity with data integration or ETL workflows
• Strong documentation and communication skills
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
