Kforce's client, a growing Real Estate company in Fort Lee, NJ, is seeking a Payroll Specialist. Summary: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing for about 500 employees multi-state organization. This includes processing, reviewing, and approving the payroll for salaried and hourly, full-time and part-time union and non-union employees employed by four different entities and ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees. The Payroll Specialist partners with the Accounting and HR teams as well as management on initiatives relating to compensation, record maintenance, employee benefit payments, and legal compliance. The Payroll Specialist supports a diverse workforce, maintains fair and equitable payroll policies and procedures, and adheres to all relevant laws, regulations and company policies. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field (preferred)
- Certified Payroll Professional (preferred)
- 3-7 years of experience overseeing the entire payroll process in a multi-state environment with ADP
- Workforce Now experience is preferred, but will consider other versions of ADP
- Highly competent end-user of relevant office technologies, software, and systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and HRIS software skills
- Detail-oriented, accurate, organized and capable of prioritizing workload of multiple tasks and deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements
- Able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and work successfully in a team environment
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidential information
- Superior organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills to include process creation and process revision
- Experience with Union payroll is a plus
