Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Network Engineer on behalf of our Fortune 500 telecommunications client in Greenwood Village, CO. This role will support the build, organization, and maintenance of lab-based network environments. This role is highly focused on Layer 1 infrastructure, including cabling, equipment installation, and physical network setup. Position Summary: The Network Engineer is responsible for hands-on lab infrastructure work, including cable installation, terminations, labeling, and ensuring all physical network components are installed and documented to a high standard. This role supports engineering and testing teams by delivering reliable, well-organized lab environments. Key Responsibilities:

Position Summary: The Network Engineer is responsible for hands-on lab infrastructure work, including cable installation, terminations, labeling, and ensuring all physical network components are installed and documented to a high standard. This role supports engineering and testing teams by delivering reliable, well-organized lab environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Layer 1 network build activities, including cable routing, installation, and equipment connectivity
- Install, terminate, test, and manage coax, Cat5/Cat6, and fiber cabling
- Support installation and physical setup of network devices, including ONUs
- Label and organize network equipment, cabling, and patching infrastructure
- Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented lab environments
- Ensure all builds follow established standards for cable management and documentation
- Support lab operations by maintaining infrastructure readiness for testing and development
- Hands-on experience with Layer 1 network infrastructure
- Experience with coax, Cat5/Cat6, and fiber cabling installation and termination
- Familiarity with network hardware installation and physical connectivity
- Ability to accurately label and document network builds
- Basic computer skills and experience working in technical environments
- Experience in lab, testing, or network infrastructure environments
- Background in cable installation or field operations
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards and fiber connectivity
- Experience supporting broadband or access network environments
