What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Data Scientist position at Kforce Inc?
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a Junior Data Scientist who will support the Supply Chain and Logistics Organization with predictive models to help accurately predict failed orders by using historical data. We are looking for candidates who understand how to build predictive models, understands multicollinearity as well as over-predicting, and who also have a strong background in SQL/analytics. The predictive models are already built(plug and chug code); however, candidates will need to understand how the models operate to understand what variables/variances need to be accounted for. Additionally, we are looking for candidates who have experience with Python, SQL, R(this will give the manager confidence in the candidate's ability to build/understand statistical models), experience testing models, supply chain/logistics, GitHub and google BigQuery. The goal of this role is to tactically intercept orders who have a high likelihood of failing so that the organization has the opportunity to take corrective action to avoid the failure.
