JavaScript Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a JavaScript Engineer in Sunrise, FL. Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled JavaScript Engineer to join our JS Functions team, which powers our cloud-based serverless compute platform written in JavaScript. If you are passionate about serverless architecture, microservices, and high-performance platforms, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:

• JavaScript Engineer will design, develop, and maintain serverless compute functions and backend services using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Build and optimize microservices architectures for scalability and reliability
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Workflows
• Develop and maintain REST APIs following best practices
• As a JavaScript Engineer, you will ensure robust security measures across backend systems (authentication, authorization, data protection)
• Integrate observability and performance monitoring tools for platform health
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver platform-level solutions like API gateways and service orchestration
  
  

Requirements

• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Experience with backend frameworks (Fastify or Express)
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency in serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
• Solid understanding of REST API design and backend security best practices

• Familiarity with AI platform concepts (MCP, RAG)
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
