Kforce has a client in need of a Java Developer in Jersey City, NJ. Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise applications
- Collaborate with business analysts, engineers, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver cloud- and container-based solutions
- Develop clean, testable Java code and maintain unit and integration tests
- Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution, including root-cause analysis
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuously improve engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, and compliance alignment
- 4-6 years of software engineering experience; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience building enterprise Java applications
- Solid knowledge of Spring (Boot, Data JPA, Kafka) and Maven
- Experience with Kafka or other message-driven architectures
- Understanding of application security, scalability, and resilient system design
- Experience with Redis for caching and performance optimization
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL/Aurora PostgreSQL and Liquibase
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Agile/Scrum experience using tools like Jira
- Strong problem-solving skills, collaboration, and eagerness to learn new technologies
