Kforce has a client that is seeking an IT Compliance Analyst (Contract) in Katy, TX. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on PCI DSS, SOX, and governance initiatives to support IT compliance
- Use data-driven insights for proactive risk management
- Track and report on key compliance metrics
- Maintain documentation for controls and follow up on corrective actions
- Oversee policy exception processes and highlight trends
- Support IT risk assessments and help shape mitigation strategies
- Promote awareness of compliance and governance best practices
- Develop and refine IT policies, standards, and guidelines
- Partner with teams to review and improve IT security controls
- Ensure procedures are aligned with policy expectations
- Collaborate with InfoSec and Training teams on security awareness
- Take part in ongoing security education and readiness efforts
- Lead meetings with clear objectives and follow-through
- Maintain alignment with internal IT standards and quality expectations
- Manage workload efficiently and escalate concerns when needed
- Role requires on-site presence; Remote work not offered at this time
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required
- 2 years in IT governance, compliance, or audit
- 1-2 years supporting IT policy and procedure development
- Retail IT experience is a plus
- Familiar with IT systems, processes, and SDLC methodologies
- Working knowledge of standards such as COBIT, COSO, PCI-DSS, ITIL, and ISO 27001
- Experience with SOX, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS compliance preferred
- Strong understanding of IT compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA, along with governance standards like COBIT, COSO, ISO 27001, and ITIL
- Skilled in developing and managing IT policies, procedures, and exception processes
- Experienced in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and ensuring adherence to internal controls
- Proficient in identifying key metrics and KPIs, creating dashboards and compliance reports, and leveraging data analysis to drive proactive IT risk management strategies
- Able to identify trends and provide clear, actionable insights to leadership
- Solid grasp of IT systems, infrastructure, and the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
- Familiar with application and infrastructure security controls, and able to ensure alignment with governance and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Able to collaborate across departments and with stakeholders at all levels
- Confident in leading meetings, facilitating group discussions, and building consensus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable under pressure with strong time management skills
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (data analysis and reporting), Word (documentation), Visio (process mapping), and Project (planning and tracking initiatives)
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving IT environments
