Kforce has a client that is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager in Newark, NJ. Summary: We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of a mid-sized fleet (~200 assets including trucks, trailers, chassis, and forklifts) on site near Harrison, NJ. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring fleet reliability, minimizing downtime, maintaining compliance with DOT regulations, and improving operational efficiency across the transportation function. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee maintenance, inspections, and repairs across all fleet assets to ensure safety and uptime
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, licensing, and safety requirements
- Monitor driver performance, including Hours of Service using ELD and GPS systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and compliance activity
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns and disruptions
- Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives across fuel usage, repairs, and overall fleet operations
- Analyze fleet performance data to improve efficiency and asset utilization
- Partner with leadership on hiring and onboarding qualified drivers and mechanics
- Manage parts inventory and vendor relationships related to maintenance and repair services
- 3 years of experience in fleet management, fleet maintenance, or a similar role
- Experience managing mid- to large-size fleets (trucks, trailers, equipment)
- Experience with ELD systems, GPS tracking, and fleet management tools
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, compliance, and safety standards
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fully onsite operational environment
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Hands-on operator who takes full ownership of fleet performance
- Comfortable working closely with drivers, mechanics, and leadership
- Process-driven with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and cost control
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
