Kforce's client is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team in San Francisco, CA or Rocklin, CA. This role is 4 days onsite, 1 day remote. Summary: You will support financial operations within a technology-focused environment. This role is responsible for month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting, while providing insights to support business and project decisions. The analyst will partner cross-functionally with project management, engineering, and product teams. Duties Include:

Summary: You will support financial operations within a technology-focused environment. This role is responsible for month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting, while providing insights to support business and project decisions. The analyst will partner cross-functionally with project management, engineering, and product teams. Duties Include:
- Support month-end close, including accruals, variance analysis, and reporting
- Develop and manage financial forecasts and budgets for technology initiatives
- Analyze project spend trends to identify cost savings, overruns, and financial risks
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial plans and performance
- Evaluate and manage contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and renewals
- Support contract labor forecasting and assist with onboarding and tracking resources
- Provide guidance on capitalization verses expense treatment in alignment with accounting standards
- Build operating budgets, including ROI analysis and project cost estimates
- Maintain and update financial data in planning and reporting tools (e.g., Essbase)
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate reporting, and enhance data accuracy
- Lead financial review meetings with stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy, organization, and timely delivery of financial outputs
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math or related field
- 5 years of experience as a financial analyst
- Advance user with Excel
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (i.e.: knowledge of accruals, how depreciation works, CapEx vs OpEx, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, graph creation and ability to summarize large datasets quickly
- Demonstrated analytical and systems skills; Self-driven desire to investigate variance issues
- Experience with corporate computerized budgeting/accounting systems and multi-dimensional database management tools
- Experience in analysis of capital projects (NPV, IRR, Lease verses Buy)
- Experience with retail finance is a plus
- Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud and/or Power BI is a plus
