Kforce has a client that is seeking an ETL Developer in Boston, MA. Responsibilities:
- ETL Developer will design and build scalable ETL pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS and/or custom scripts
- Perform data extraction, transform data into usable formats based on business and technical requirements and loading into target database to support application requirements
- Collaborate with vendor teams to perform data quality assurance, ensuring successful data migration and loading into the future state database
- Monitor, test, and troubleshoot ETL workflows to ensure high availability and reliability
- As an ETL Developer, you will optimize data pipeline performance and manage batch and real-time processes
- Document data flows, mappings, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of experience with SSIS, Azure SQL and Azure Data services (Data Factory, Storage)
- Experience with code reviews, version control (branching), task management, documentation, and testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD and version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of database recovery tactics and security protocols
- Understanding of best engineering practices in agile software development
- Proficiency in SQL Server, Azure SQL, TSQL
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interface effectively between business groups and IT teams
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
