Job Summary: The Disbursements Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely processing of invoices and expenses, maintaining financial records, and reconciling accounts related to payments. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, operational procedures, intermediate Excel skills, and excellent communication abilities. The Analyst will also analyze payment-related data, recommend process improvements, and support projects impacting disbursement processes. Key Responsibilities:

The Analyst will also analyze payment-related data, recommend process improvements, and support projects impacting disbursement processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Disbursement Analyst will process invoices, expenses, vendor payments, and other disbursements accurately and on time
- Reconcile payment records with bank statements and clearing accounts
- Maintain organized payment records and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Prepare reports on disbursement activities, identify trends, and recommend improvements
- Manage compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP)
- Communicate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve payment issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage approvals and resolve discrepancies
- As a Disbursement Analyst, you will support finance staff on disbursement-related matters
- Participate in system testing and updates related to accounts payable processes
- Promote adoption of electronic payment methods for efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- 3-5 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience, including invoice matching and exception handling
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and cash disbursement processes
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal control requirements
- Proficient in Excel; Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) preferred
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., SOX) is a plus
- Restaurant/Retail/Hospitality preferred
